Ellington Public Schools has an opening for a full time Business Education teacher at Ellington High School beginning August 2026.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold or be eligible for a State of Connecticut Business Education teaching endorsement (010). A state and national criminal check will be required as well as a DCF search.

Primary responsibilities include:

* planning engaging lessons and developing instructional materials and assessments

* creating a welcoming and structured classroom environment

* working with the department to develop curriculum on ongoing basis

* participating in professional growth activities

The ideal candidate will:

* be prepared to teach any assigned business class from the program of studies

* be a team player willing to work in a strong, collaborative environment

* have strong technology skills in both Microsoft Office and the Google platform
