Lead Teacher And College And Career Pathways Coordinator
This position is a .4 Lead Teacher and .6 College and Career Pathways Coordinator. Interested candidates should have strong organizational skills, a passion for creating and supporting post-secondary opportunities for high school students, and experience with curriculum and pathway development. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have leadership experience related to student services and behavior. Responsibilities may include:
- Pathway Development:
Expand and oversee the high school's Career Clusters and specialized pathway programs - Work-Based Learning:
Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate student internships, job-shadowing experiences, apprenticeships, and college/career fairs. Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses and higher education institutions - Support the implementation and expansion of ECE and AP offerings at EHS
- Performing lead teacher related duties as assigned by the principal including but not limited to the following: 504 Administrator designee Discipline Referrals 8th Grade Transition to EHS
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a valid grade appropriate Connecticut teaching certificate. A Connecticut 092 Intermediate Administration certification is preferred, as is an 104 endorsement. Minimum of 5 years teaching experience Demonstrated teacher leadership capabilities
