Part-Time Cafeteria/Playground Aide

Ellington Public Schools is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Part-Time Cafeteria/Playground Aide to join the team at Windermere Elementary School for the  school year. If you enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact on students' school day, we'd love to hear from you! This position plays an important role in helping to provide a safe, positive, and engaging environment during lunch and recess.

Position Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch and recess.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Communicate concerns to school staff and administrators when appropriate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of a state and national criminal history background check is required.
• A Department of Children and Families (DCF) records check will be completed in accordance with Connecticut state statute.

Working Conditions

• 15 hours per week Monday-Friday
• School-year position )
• Hourly Rate: $17.43
• This is an at-will position.
