Ellington High School is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Girls Lacrosse Assistant Coach for the 2026 spring season. This is a one‑year coaching appointment. The assistant coach will support the head coach in all aspects of program development, player growth, and daily team operations while upholding the values and standards of Ellington High School Athletics.

• Assist in planning and conducting daily practices and game preparation
• Support skill development, conditioning, and tactical instruction
• Help foster a positive, competitive, and inclusive team culture
• Promote sportsmanship and adherence to CIAC and EHS policies
• Assist with game management, scouting, and player evaluation
• Supervise student‑athletes during practices, contests, and team travel
• Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and school personnel
• Support off‑season development as appropriate
• Maintain current certifications and coaching requirements

• Prior lacrosse playing and/or coaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of high school girls lacrosse rules and strategy
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to student‑athlete development and leadership
