Job Description Overview: We are seeking a skilled Network Fiber Technician to support service and installations in the St. Louis, MO area. Your day will involve reviewing scheduled jobs, preparing equipment, and heading into the field to install, maintain, or repair fiber optic systems while coordinating with dispatch and documenting each task.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair mainline and service fiber cables and related equipment.
- Respond to trouble tickets and resolve issues to restore customer connectivity.
- Follow all safety protocols and standards on every job site.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
- Provide responsive, courteous service during installations or repairs.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs as part of daily tasks.
- Show up consistently and ready to work in all weather conditions.
- Previous experience in fiber construction or FTTH/FTTB.
- Intermediate to advanced field‑splicing experience, from vault cases to cabinet cassettes.
- Some college or technical training preferred.
- Prior experience with aerial construction or working from a bucket truck.
- Flexible and solutions‑oriented when challenges arise.
- Comfortable working independently or with a small team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Ability to lift 50‑70 lbs.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Self‑motivated and dependable.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑moving environment.
Work schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 am–5 pm.
