Role DescriptionThis full-time, on-site, Customer Service Representative role is based in Ellsworth, ME. The Customer Service Representative will respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing billing and related services. Day-to-day responsibilities include processing payments, assisting in report procedures and workflow distribution, updating customer records, and ensuring accurate documentation in agency systems. At entry level, the role also involves proactively following up with clients, resolving issues, coordinating with agents and carriers, and supporting a positive customer experience at every interaction.
The individual in this position will contribute to a professional, welcoming office environment and uphold the agency’s standards of service, teamwork, and community.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to obtain a Maine property and casualty insurance license.
- Candidates should possess strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Experience.
- Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to personal, professional growth and development.
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment with efficiency and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a welcoming personality and a friendly approach to client interaction.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time and priorities in a busy office environment.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications, agency management systems, and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Previous experience in insurance, financial services, or a customer-facing role is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, maintain professionalism, and handle confidential information responsibly.

Wage: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience.
