Overview
Camden National Bank, a community bank founded in 1875, seeks a Teller to handle daily banking transactions and provide customer service across multiple branches in the region.
Responsibilities- Process deposits, withdrawals, cash checks, and payments received by mail, night drop, and ATM using bank application software.
- Verify cash and endorsements, issue receipts, and maintain a satisfactory proving record.
- Serve customers in a courteous manner, answering inquiries, and providing information on consumer and business products.
- Adhere to teller policies, procedures, and vault security protocols.
- Answer incoming calls and respond appropriately to meet caller needs.
- Participate in sales and service activities through support and referrals to ensure customers receive the best banking experience.
- Enter and reconcile daily cash handling and end‑of‑day procedures accurately.
- High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of banking software (Vertex Teller, Jack Henry Experience) and related systems (CRM, Outlook, Jabber, Cisco telephone).
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using U.S. currency and measurement units.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present information to customers and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in numeric data processing.
- Ability to use a computer, ten‑key adding machine, and read/write simple correspondence.
- Physical capability to stand regularly, reach with hands and arms, walk occasionally, and lift up to 25 pounds.
