The Patient Access Manager oversees daily registration operations and supports Revenue Cycle Patient Access initiatives across Northern Light Health. This role provides leadership to registration teams, partners with integrated departments to improve workflows, and ensures a consistent focus on patient safety, satisfaction, process improvement, and operational performance. The manager serves as a subject matter expert for patient access practices, technology, reporting, and change management.

This role is onsite and time will be divided between the following locations:
Maine Coast: 50 Union St., Ellsworth, ME and Blue Hill: 57 Water St. Blue Hill, ME

Primary Responsibilities:

• The Patient Access Manager leads registration workflow improvements, supports financial clearance strategies, and collaborates with Revenue Cycle partners to implement effective processes. Responsibilities include analyzing operational needs, developing solutions, tracking key performance indicators, supporting employee engagement, and ensuring teams meet productivity, quality, and customer service goals.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience leading a public-facing team of 15+ direct reports
• 4+ years of experience with scheduling functionality, workflows, and performance benchmarks
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft applications, including the ability to train or support end users
• Proven solid analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate outcomes
• Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities
• Demonstrated ability to work variable hours based on team needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to work onsite at either designated location:
  Maine Coast: 50 Union St., Ellsworth, ME and Blue Hill: 57 Water St. Blue Hill, ME

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Revenue Cycle Professional certification
• Experience with NLH software, data, and business information systems
• Experience using AI tools to improve daily productivity and workflow efficiency
• Working knowledge of Revenue Cycle functions and related operational workflows

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
