Propane & Oil Delivery Driver Trainee
Job Summary
As a Propane and Oil Delivery Driver Trainee
, you will begin your career by attending company-sponsored training to obtain your Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with X endorsement
. Once trained, you will deliver propane and heating oil products safely and efficiently to residential and commercial customers.
You’ll be the friendly, reliable face of our company, helping keep homes warm, businesses operating, and customers satisfied. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, being on the road, and making a meaningful impact in their community.
Key Responsibilities- Attend CDL training school and successfully obtain a Class B CDL with X endorsement
. - Assist experienced delivery drivers while completing training
- Safely and efficiently deliver propane and heating oil products to customers
- Always maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism
- Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies and procedures
- Complete required paperwork, logs, and delivery documentation accurately
- Represent the company positively within the community
The company will provide and/or sponsor training and certification, including:
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with X endorsement
- National
Certifications: - Basic Propane Principles & Practices
- Propane Distribution Systems (Delivery Technician)
- Drug & Alcohol Education
- Haz Mat-126F
- Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Clean State Of Maine Driver's License
- Ability to travel to and from CDL training school
- Ability to travel to the work location when not attending school
- Willingness to learn and assist drivers during deliveries
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Customer-focused attitude with good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Must meet all DOT and company hiring requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
- Ability to climb, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks associated with fuel delivery
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including seasonal demands
