Role Description

This is a full-time, on‑site Fuel Delivery Driver role based in Ellsworth, ME. The Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and delivering fuel products to residential and commercial customers according to scheduled routes. Daily tasks include performing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, operating delivery equipment, following all safety and environmental protocols, and completing delivery documentation and customer receipts accurately.

The role also involves interacting professionally with customers, responding to service‑related questions, and communicating with dispatch to report delivery status, issues, or route changes. The Fuel Delivery Driver will help maintain the vehicle and equipment, report maintenance needs, and support a culture of safety and reliability.

Qualifications
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (such as Haz Mat and Tanker), and a clean driving record.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate fuel delivery trucks and related equipment safely, including conducting routine vehicle inspections.
  • Knowledge of basic safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to fuel delivery and handling.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and professionally at customer sites.
  • Basic math and recordkeeping skills to complete logs, manifests, delivery tickets, and inventory forms accurately.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting hoses, climbing in and out of trucks, and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow established routes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in fuel delivery, transportation, or related fields is beneficial.
