Senior Accountant

We are a rapidly growing logistics/freight organization with a revenue of $300 million. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. This is a hybrid role, where you will work three days in our Elmhurst office and two days from home initially. By September 2023, we will be moving to a brand-new office in Oakbrook, conveniently located at Butterfield and 22nd street.

As a Senior Accountant, you will work directly under the guidance of the Controller in the U.S. to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Providing support in federal, state, and personal property tax areas as needed.
• Assisting with the month-end close process.
• Reconciling and settling intercompany activity.
• Supporting the annual external audit process.
• Assisting with monthly forecasting and annual budgeting.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred (or a combination of experience and associate's degree in accounting).
• Prior experience in budgeting and forecasting is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP concepts.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting and/or financial roles preferred.
• Experience with Cargo Wise One software is a plus.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English would be helpful.
