We are looking for a detail-oriented, experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations across multiple business entities –including two separate residential/commercial rental companies– ensure financial accuracy, and play a vital role in supporting our team of real estate professionals.
This is a part-time role (25+ Hours Weekly) ideal for a self-starter who excels in multi-tasking, thrives with independence, and can own the full bookkeeping cycle from routine transactions through year-end close.

Key Responsibilities:
- General Accounting Duties
- Process weekly payroll with Gusto
- Make timely bank deposits
- Process Agent Commission payments associated with closings
- Assist the Admin Team with real estate-associated payments and invoices
- Maintain organized financial records inside of a digital filing system, including agent commission spreadsheet tracking
- Prepare internal financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Check Details
- Multi-Entity Accounting & Property Management Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate books across 6 total entities ensuring proper intercompany accounting and entity-level reporting
- Reconcile all bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts monthly for each entity
- Rental Income Tracking through Hemlane, the property management system
- Process A/P and A/R; manage vendor relationships and customer billing
- Year-End Close & CPA Coordination
- Lead year-end close processes and prepare books for external CPA review
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the CPA firm– respond to inquiries, provide documentation, and coordinate tax prep deliverables
- Prepare 1099s and assist with annual compliance filings
- Adhoc Tasks
- Additional reporting, as needed
- Year-end bonus calculations
Required
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years of hands-on full-charge bookkeeping experience, preferably across multiple entities or business lines
- 2+ years experience with Quickbooks Desktop
- Proven experience independently managing month-end and year-end close processes
- Comfortable communicating directly with external CPAs
- Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy and accountability
- Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Google Drive and Gmail
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Preferred But Not
Required:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Bookkeeping certification and/or Quickbooks certification
- Industry knowledge, either in Real Estate or Property Management
- 1 year experience of payroll processing and payroll journal entries
- Knowledge of Gusto and Hemlane a plus but not required
