Overview
Our client, a busy and growing Union Health and Welfare Fund located in Elmhurst, Illinois, is looking for a direct-hire full-time Collections Coordinator. The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, with exceptional time management and organizational skills.
This is a direct hire full-time position working onsite in Elmhurst, Illinois Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch for a total of 37.5 hours paid per week.
Responsibilities- Manage contractor contributions, including issuing monthly demand letters, reconciling daily contributions, recording liquidated damages (LDs), and tracking discrepancies.
- Manage collection efforts and follow-up communications.
- Assist with employer setup for online remittance.
- Compile and organize documentation for contractor compliance audits.
- Support participant eligibility processing, customer service, and claims adjudication through cross-training with other team members.
- Collaborate with staff and report directly to the Assistant Administrator.
- Eventually be cross-trained to assist with the payment of medical claims.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; interest in pursuing CEBS Certification is a plus.
- Experience with Quick Books is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in managing the Union Fund’s social media presence is a plus.
