Entry Level Automotive Technician - Elmhurst, IL

General Description

As an Entry Level Automotive Technician, you will gain hands‑on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers by learning how to perform basic automotive services while delivering outstanding service. Experience isn’t required; you will be trained as needed.

Store may be open 7 days a week, including weekends and some holidays.

• Valid driver's license and at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to review, analyze, interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions.
• Commitment to learning new technologies within the rapidly changing automotive industry.
• Commitment to following established safety policies and procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Previous automotive preventive maintenance experience or formal automotive training.

• Complete basic automotive services such as mounting and balancing tires, tire repairs, oil changes, filter replacements, etc.
• Train with mid‑ and senior‑level technicians to learn additional services.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles.
• Promote teamwork to meet guest expectations.
• Maintain strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform various manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting of tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.

The pay range is $15–$17 per hour, with variations based on experience and market.
