Senior Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Project Manager for our Light Industrial division in the Chicagoland area, a mid‑sized general contractor specializing in light industrial, cold storage/food processing, and healthcare projects. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of light industrial construction projects, including subcontractor coordination, labor costs, material costs, and RFPs.

- Oversee all stages of the project life cycle, managing project development from initiation to closure.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, ensuring all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Manage labor and material costs, ensuring the project adheres to budget limitations.
- Prepare and submit project estimates and RFPs, providing detailed and accurate cost projections.
- Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution.
- Monitor project progress continuously and produce detailed scheduled reports on measurable items such as milestones and deliverables.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Identify and manage project risks, developing effective mitigation strategies.
- Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project outputs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in light industrial construction.
- Proven experience in subcontractor coordination, labor costs, material costs, and RFPs.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Proficiency in project management software tools.
- PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in the construction industry.
