Orthodontist Assistant; PT

Overview

Elmhurst Dental Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Part-Time Orthodontist Assistant to join our team. As an Orthodontist Assistant, you will work closely with our Orthodontists and other team members to provide exceptional dental care to our patients as well as perform light administrative duties. This position will require approximately 16 hours per month. Our Orthodontist sees patients one Friday and one Saturday a month, making this a great opportunity for someone seeking a few extra hours of chairside assisting each month.

There is definite potential for more days with other specialists, so let us know if you have any other assisting experience outside of ortho (endo, oral surgery, perio, etc...)

Elmhurst Dental Care: 333 W 1st St, Elmhurst, IL 60126

• One Friday per month (8 hours)
• One Saturday per month (8 hours)

• $22-$26 per hour (Commensurate with Experience)

• Provide chairside orthodontic assistance and support to the orthodontist during patient care.
• Perform light administrative duties as needed to support the practice.
• Coordinate with team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operatory use.
• Be available approximately 16 hours per month, with potential for additional days if cross-training with other specialists is available.
• Cross-train and assist in other specialties (e.g., endodontics, oral surgery, periodontics) as opportunities arise.

• X-Ray certification in the state of Illinois preferred
• Coronal Polish/Sealant Certification preferred but not required
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Chairside dental assisting with a wide range of general dentistry procedures
• Sterilization protocols to OSHA regulations
• CPR certification
• Computer efficiency for charting and scheduling
• Ability to build lasting relationships with teammates and patients

• Open-minded to new systems/techniques, direction and feedback
