Position: Rec Station Leader (Before/After School Program)

Position Overview

This is a part‑time Rec Station Leader position with our Before & After School Program, which occurs during the school year. Rec Station employees can enroll their age‑eligible dependents in Rec Station programming at no cost during the shifts in which they work (i.e., before and/or after school). No waitlist is required and registration is guaranteed. To qualify, employees must work at least three shifts every week.

What

You’ll Do

You will work directly with children enrolled in our Rec Station Program by assisting to implement program activities in the areas of arts and crafts, drama, sports and games, outdoor recreation, field trips, special events, socialization, and quiet activities. As a Rec Station Leader you will also support your team in setting up and taking down equipment.

What You’ll Bring
  • High school education and at least 16 years of age.
When You’ll Work

Monday‑Friday, 6:45am – 8:00am and/or 2:45pm – 6:00pm. Must also be available to work the "School Day Off" program.

  • No nights, no weekends, no major holidays.

  • The anticipated starting pay for this position is $17.00 or $18.00 per hour depending on experience.
  • Rec Station Leader I falls under Pay Grade E with a pay range of $15.00 – $20.00.
  • Rec Station employees can enroll their age‑eligible dependents in Rec Station programming at no cost during the shifts in which they work (i.e., before and/or after school). No waitlist is required and registration is guaranteed. Employees must work at least three shifts every week to qualify.
  • 50% off programs for self, spouse, civil union partner or legal dependents (resident fee) – certain restrictions apply.
