- Lead HVAC system design from concept through construction
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and energy analysis
- Prepare, review, and approve engineering drawings and specifications
- Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, IMC, NFPA, and local codes
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and engineering teams
- Conduct site visits and support commissioning activities
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design reviews
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license – Illinois
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 7+ years HVAC design experience (10+ preferred)
- Strong knowledge of commercial duct, piping, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in HAP, E20, and AutoCAD
- BIM coordination
