We are seeking a strategic, hands‑on Vice President of Finance to join our leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this highly visible leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the financial future of a growing organization while leading both the accounting and finance functions.
The Vice President of Finance will oversee all aspects of accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and financial reporting while partnering closely with executive leadership to improve operational performance, support strategic initiatives, and prepare the organization for continued growth. This individual will also play a key role in strengthening internal controls, enhancing financial reporting, supporting acquisitions, and building a best‑in‑class finance organization.

Key Responsibilities- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive leadership team.
- Partner with business leaders to drive profitability, operational excellence, and long‑term strategic growth.
- Provide financial insights that support key business decisions and organizational planning.
- Mentor, develop, and lead a high‑performing accounting and finance team.
- Help foster financial discipline throughout the organization.
- Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial reporting, and month‑end close.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, cash flow management, treasury, tax, audit, and internal controls.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead job costing, work‑in‑process (WIP), and percentage‑of‑completion accounting.
- Develop meaningful dashboards, KPIs, and financial reporting tools to improve decision‑making.
- Optimize ERP systems and support the integration of acquired businesses into Net Suite.
- Partner with the CFO on mergers, acquisitions, strategic initiatives, and long‑term financial planning.
- Evaluate departmental processes and implement improvements that increase efficiency and scalability.
- Present financial performance, trends, and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Support continuous improvement across finance, accounting, and operational processes.
- Manage banking relationships, cash management, lending agreements, and working capital.
- Oversee insurance, risk management, legal contracts, and compliance initiatives.
- Coordinate annual audits and work closely with external accounting and tax advisors.

The ideal candidate is an experienced finance executive who combines strong business acumen with exceptional leadership skills. You are comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical levels and thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Experience with in a mid‑market organization ($75M‑$500M+ revenue).
- Strong background in construction or project‑based accounting.
- Expertise in job costing, WIP, and percentage‑of‑completion accounting.
- Experience in private equity‑backed or privately held organizations.
- CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- M&A and business integration experience is a plus.
