Sterilization Technician

Contract Duration: 13 weeks + probable extension

Shift: Day/Evening/Night

Pay Rate: $30/hr - $32/hr

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble complex surgical instruments.
• Operate washer disinfectors, autoclaves, sterilizers, and related processing equipment.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage before sterilization.
• Document missing or damaged instruments according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory.
• Perform daily cleaning and preventive maintenance of sterilization equipment.

• Experience with instrument decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile processing workflows.
• Understanding of ANSI/AAMI standards
  , infection control practices, and manufacturer IFUs.
• Experience operating autoclaves, washer disinfectors, and sterilization equipment.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) certification required.
