Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and modify CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and fixtures to optimize production.
- Perform program simulations and prove‑outs to ensure accuracy and prevent machine collisions.
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to maintain production schedules.
- Implement continuous improvements to reduce cycle time and improve part quality.
- Maintain documentation for programs, setup instructions, and tooling requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- 3+ years of CNC programming experience for lathes, and multi‑axis machines in a production environment.
- Proficient in CNC programming software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Gibbs
CAM, or equivalent). - Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
