Supplier & In‑Process Quality Technician, Calibration and CMM

Overview

On second shift, you’ll be the hands-on authority who turns complex prints into actionable measurement plans, keeps our calibration system airtight, and partners with production, engineering, and suppliers to elevate quality every day.

• Using precision tools: /OD micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, CMMs, Hofler gear inspection machine, tooth verniers
• Performing first piece, in-process, and final inspections
• Inspecting incoming vendor materials and certifying outgoing customer shipments
• Reading/decoding blueprints, customer specifications, and control plans
• Programming/operating manual and CNC CMMs (PC-DMIS / Modus preferred)
• Executing and maintaining calibration activities
• Identifying/rejecting nonconforming materials; supporting corrective actions
• Coaching production teammates on proper measurement methods
• Supporting PPAP/ISIR, process capability studies, and first article activities
• Organizing quality documentation and customer files
• Participating in internal audits and supplier quality engagements

• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing and/or quality assurance
• Strong blueprint reading and precision metrology skills
• Comfort with math and geometry
• Calibration experience (required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with bevel gear manufacturing (preferred)

• Production floor and CNC machining environment; second shift
