Hourly Pay Range: $57.69 - $75.77 – the hourly rate is based on experience and expertise.
Job SummaryThe Podiatry Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) will manage inpatient and outpatient podiatry patients, evaluating new and existing patients as well as post‑operative visits. The role involves clinical assessment, therapeutic instruction, documentation, and collaboration with physicians and the health‑care team to deliver high‑quality care.
Responsibilities- Under the direction of collaborating physician(s), provide care to patients.
- Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations.
- Order imaging, lab tests, and diagnostic procedures, and interpret results.
- Instruct patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens and pre/post‑operative instructions.
- Maintain records and write progress notes on status, treatments, and procedures.
- Follow patients through their course of treatment in clinic and hospital settings.
- Collaborate with physicians and the health‑care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic therapies as appropriate.
- Demonstrate evidence‑based practice.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty.
- Assess the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum.
- Employ strategies, interventions, and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health.
- Work autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as a resource and consultant.
- Contribute positively to safety outcomes and a high‑quality patient experience.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals.
- Support the strategic plan of the organization.
- Adhere to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.
- Licensed APRN in the State of Illinois.
- Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License.
- Master’s level degree in a related field.
- BLS/CPR certification.
- Experience in orthopedics or podiatry.
- Ability to manage a high clinic volume and complex cases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
