Position

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Location

Elmhurst Hospital, Elmhurst, IL

Hours

Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Off‑shifts may be required.

Pay Range

Hourly: $122.60 – $162.41, based on experience and expertise.

Job Summary

The CRNA is an integral member of the Anesthesia Care Team at Elmhurst Hospital, performing anesthesia services under the supervision of an attending anesthesiologist.

Responsibilities
  • Provide anesthesia care for patients of all ages, from pediatrics through geriatrics.
  • Assess age‑specific data, administer medications, and set up equipment appropriate to each patient.
  • Perform regional anesthesia, including spinal blocks and peripheral nerve blocks (PNB).
  • Assist in diverse case types such as neuro, general surgery, thoracic, urology, plastics, orthopedics, ophthalmology, interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization, gastrointestinal, and MRI procedures.
  • Operate within an unlimited scope of practice under the attending anesthesiologist’s direction.
Qualifications
  • Licensed RN in the state of Illinois.
  • Graduate of an approved School of Nurse Anesthesia; certified or board‑eligible for CRNA certification.
  • Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS certification is recommended.
  • New graduates and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Recertify as a CRNA every two years.
