Position: Staff Support Technician - CRT - Days

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 – The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  • Hours:

    Days – 6:30am-7:00pm
What you will do:
  • Provides basic care for patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse on inpatient units and facilitates communication between patients, families, and care team via video conference applications or phone.
  • Responds to immediate patient needs by answering call lights promptly and courteously.
  • As directed, by RN, makes hourly or more frequent rounds on patients for safety, comfort, and to meet patient needs/requests.
  • Positions, lifts, transfers, and ambulates patients as directed by RN; use of Safe Patient Handling equipment.
  • Assist with setting up meals for patients and ordering meals.
  • Keeps patient rooms tidy, refreshes patient linen as needed, removes unnecessary equipment and linen.
  • Assists patient with simple hygiene/comfort measures such as washing hands/face and oral care.
  • As directed by RN, transports patient to other departments or during discharge.
  • When directed by RN, remains with patient continuously for patient safety.
  • Handles infectious waste and linen according to established hospital procedure.
  • Adheres to proper infection control standards and handwashing techniques to avoid cross contamination.
  • Cleans and disinfects unit‑specific equipment.
  • Answers phones and/or covers/assists Unit Concierge as needed during shift.
  • Acts as a “Runner” to other departments, when needed to obtain necessary items for patient care.

    High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience.
