School RN position for a 12-week contract in or near Elmhurst, Illinois. The role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, and provides the chance to make a meaningful impact on student health.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive health assessments and treatments to students in accordance with school policies and state regulations
- Monitor and manage student health records and medication administration
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop student health plans
- Educate students and staff on health and wellness practices
- Respond promptly to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed
- Professional Educator License with School Support Personnel endorsement in school nursing (PEL-CSN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of experience in school nursing or relevant healthcare
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle diverse student needs
- Adaptability to fast-paced school environments
- Pass background checks
- Compliance with all school health policies
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with school staff
