Role Summary
As a Histology Laboratory Lead, you coordinate daily lab activities, provide training, coaching, and guidance to the team, and perform day‑to‑day laboratory bench work. This is a full‑time position with excellent day‑one benefits. You can explore our Histology Careers page at
Responsibilities- Oversee the work of Histology Lab Technicians and Assistants/Support Staff (coach and lead the team to meet business goals).
- Coordinate the team’s workflow and problem‑solve equipment and workflow challenges to maintain turnaround times.
- Prepare veterinary tissue samples for diagnosis, including dissection, grossing, embedding, microtomy, special staining, and complex tissue diagnostics.
- Follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Full cross‑training in a histology lab, including microtomy, dissection, and special stains.
- Previous experience with complex tissue dissection is a plus.
- Attention to detail, organized, and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- ASCP certification preferred.
- Team‑orientation and ability to meet the physical requirements (standing, sitting, lifting up to 50lb, visual acuity, etc.).
- Acceptance of potential exposure to biohazards, zoonotic agents, and hazardous chemicals.
- Target pay of $35.00 per hour, based on experience and ASCP certification.

4:00pm – 12:30am, Tuesday–Saturday (with possible slight variations).
