Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
As a Histology Laboratory Lead, you coordinate daily lab activities and provide training, coaching, and guidance to the team. You act as an informational resource for colleagues, ensuring samples are processed and analyzed efficiently.
You will be a lead and a resource to other lab team members, while also working as an individual contributor doing day‑to‑day laboratory bench work.

In this role- You will oversee the work of Histology Lab Technicians and/or Histology Lab Assistants/Support Staff (though they will not be your direct reports).
- You will coach and lead the work of others, helping the team reach business goals.
- You will coordinate the team's workflow.
- You will problem‑solve, from troubleshooting histology lab equipment to resolving workflow challenges with turnaround times.
- You will prepare veterinary tissue samples for diagnosis in support of animal treatment.
- You will perform dissection, grossing, embedding, microtomy, special staining, and complex tissue diagnostics on veterinary samples.
- You will follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Associates, Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- You should be fully cross‑trained in a histology lab, including microtomy, dissection, and special stains.
- Previous experience with complex tissue dissection is a plus.
- Attention to detail, organized and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- ASCP certification preferred.
- Team orientation.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the lab, e.g., standing and sitting for extended periods, phone & computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50 lb, and specific vision ability.
- Exposure to biohazards and hazardous chemicals is possible.
- Target pay of $35.00, based on experience and ASCP certification.

- 40 hours per week, 4:00 pm – 12:30 am, Tuesday‑Saturday.
