What you’ll do- Own dimensional verification: first piece, in‑process, and final inspections
- Safeguard the supply chain by inspecting incoming materials and approving outgoing orders
- Turn requirements into reality by reading blueprints, specs, and control plans
- Program and execute CMM routines on manual and CNC systems (PC‑DMIS / Modus preferred)
- Operate a full suite of instruments: micrometers (/OD), calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, CMMs, Hofler gear inspection machine, tooth verniers
- Maintain a compliant system through scheduled calibration and accurate records
- Contain nonconformances, assist with corrective actions, and prevent recurrence
- Coach operators on correct measurement techniques
- Support PPAP / ISIR packages, capability studies, and first article documentation
- Keep quality files, reports, and customer documentation organized and audit‑ready
- Contribute to internal audits and supplier quality activities
- 2–4 years of manufacturing and/or quality assurance experience
- Skilled at blueprint reading and applying precision measurement tools
- Competence in basic math and geometry
- Proven calibration experience (required)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with bevel gear manufacturing (preferred)
- Comfort working on a fast‑paced production floor in a precision environment
