Overview
We’re partnering with a growing merchandising and consumer products company to hire a Sales Executive focused on building, growing, and maintaining retail accounts. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of hands-on sales experience who’s comfortable both farming existing relationships and hunting new business. This position is fully onsite, 5 days in-office in the western suburbs of Illinois.
SalesExecutive Responsibilities
- Grow and manage a book of retail accounts through strong relationship-building
- Prospect and generate new business through cold calling, outbound outreach, and inbound leads
- Tailor sales conversations based on retailer needs, buying cycles, and assortment strategy
- Write and manage orders across multiple product categories
- Stay current on retail, consumer, and food & beverage–adjacent trends to identify opportunities
- Track activity, pipeline, and sales performance
- 3–4 years of sales experience in retail, merchandising, consumer products, and/or food & beverage–adjacent industries
- Proven experience farming and growing existing accounts
- Comfortable with cold calling and outbound prospecting
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
