Forge Truck Centers is seeking a strategic and people-focused Sales Director to lead and scale our sales organization across multiple locations. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, building a high-performance sales culture, and creating a structured Sales Training Academy to develop consistent, repeatable sales excellence across the company. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, coach, and sales strategist with experience building teams and training programs—industry experience is less important than leadership, process, and results.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute company-wide sales strategy to achieve revenue, margin, and growth objectives
- Lead, mentor, and manage sales managers and sales representatives across multiple locations
- Design, launch, and oversee a Sales Training Academy
, including onboarding, ongoing training, and leadership development - Establish standardized sales processes, playbooks, and best practices
- Create performance metrics, sales targets, and accountability frameworks
- Drive new business development and strengthen relationships with key commercial and fleet customers
- Oversee pipeline management, forecasting, and sales reporting
- Partner with operations, finance, and inventory teams to align pricing, availability, and delivery expectations
- Ensure consistent use of CRM tools and data-driven decision-making
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to continuously improve strategy
- Foster a collaborative, disciplined, and growth-oriented sales culture
- 10+ years of progressive sales experience, including 5+ years in a senior sales leadership role
- Proven experience building, training, and leading sales teams
- Demonstrated success creating structured sales training or enablement programs
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Ability to drive accountability while motivating teams
- Experience with CRM systems, sales metrics, and forecasting
- Willingness and ability to travel between dealership locations as needed
- Experience leading multi-location sales teams
- Background in B2B, fleet, equipment, or complex sales environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience)
