Water Systems Service Technician – Bolingbrook, IL

Xylem is looking for a Water Systems Service Technician to report to our Bolingbrook IL branch and service our equipment at customer sites in the surrounding area. This position has general day shift hours with overtime opportunities and an on-call rotation with occasional afternoons/weekends.

The Expert Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of our water purification equipment, utilizing a company service vehicle, within our Light Industries Division. Equipment specific training will be provided. Willing to train the right person, but candidates with previous technical/mechanical/plumbing experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Education:

HS diploma or equivalent

Knowledge and

Experience:

1-5 years technical experience in industrial or commercial process water experience, or equivalent experience working with industrial and commercial machinery and their mechanical and electrical components

Additional Requirements: Ability to work in a high customer facing position; ability to identify and remedy potential safety concerns; ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and DOT physical; a valid driver s license with a clean driving record; travel 50% or more daily

Other: 1-5 years technical experience, ability to pass background checks, and strong customer-facing skills. Must be able to work in field conditions and lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs as needed.
