Position: Medical Delivery Driver - Elmhurst, IL $17.25 hrly

Medical Driver – Elmhurst – $17.25 hourly – EXPT (Saturday–Sunday)

Saturday: 4:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Additional $1.00 hourly increase for Saturday and Sunday days.

Responsibilities
  • Transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials in a company-owned vehicle.
  • Operate a handheld scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
  • Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
  • Present a professional image to clients and the public.
  • Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
  • Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
  • Conduct pre‑/post‑trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat and orderly vehicle.
  • Adjust route duties based on client and business needs; routes may change from time to time.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation and adaptability with teammates and clients.
  • Build and nurture a collaborative Med Speed team culture.
Qualifications
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for at least 3 years.
  • Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
  • Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
  • Ability to follow procedures closely.
  • Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
  • Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
  • Drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
  • Excellent driving history.
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (depending on location and local mandates).
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to handle varying item weights and physical demands.
  • Ability to lift items off storage racks.
  • Comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods.
