General Education Teacher

Candidates should have a valid NY Art Teacher Certification or a Teaching Assistant Certificate, and feel enthusiastic about supporting K-12 learners in imaginative expression and foundational skills. • Current New York State Art Teacher Certification or valid Teaching Assistant Certificate (required)
• Experience working with K-12 students in a general education, paraprofessional, or art classroom setting
• Flexible and eager to travel between multiple school locations in the greater Elmira area
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities
• Positive, adaptable, and motivated to encourage student growth in the arts

• Deliver engaging, standards-based art instruction or provide effective classroom support as needed
• Foster an inclusive and supportive art classroom atmosphere
• Collaborate with school staff, administration, and families to enhance student achievement and engagement
• Adapt lessons and materials for diverse learning needs
• Maintain accurate attendance and lesson records

• Art Teachers earn $38-40 per hour;
  Teaching Assistants earn $20-22 per hour, reflecting your training and certification
