About the Position
Registered Nurse (RN) - Psych
Overview
Join our team as a registered psychiatric nurse and make a vital difference in the lives of patients facing behavioral health challenges.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic inpatient psychiatric unit, providing high-quality care while advancing your professional skills. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will deliver compassionate, patient-centered services in a fast-paced environment that values expertise and empathy.
Pay Package: $58 per hour
Shift: 8 hour evening
Required Skills
Valid RN license in New York
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings
Psychiatric nursing experience in an inpatient environment
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have Skills
Additional certifications such as CPI or MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment)
Experience in crisis intervention or de-escalation techniques
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Preferred
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree preferred
Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
Other Requirements
Ability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment
Flexibility to work 8-hour shifts
Must possess a current and active RN license in New York
