Registered Nurse - Stroke Telemetry Unit

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our high-acuity Stroke Telemetry Unit. The unit specializes in the care of acute stroke and complex telemetry patients, providing evidence-based, protocol-driven care with a strong emphasis on patient safety and rapid intervention.

• Perform and document frequent neurological assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, responding to changes in real time.
• Ensure compliance with stroke core measures, including dysphagia screening and care plans.
• Administer medications using BCMA standards with a focus on safety and accuracy.
• Coordinate patient care with an interdisciplinary team, including providers and therapy staff.
• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover environment.
• Maintain a constant focus on falls prevention, skin integrity, and patient safety.

This position is for the 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM shift.

• Current state nursing license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.
• Ability to read basic rhythm strips.

This is a 13-week contract position.
