Direct Support Professional

Our Client is seeking a reliable and attentive DSP/Residential Aide to provide support and instruction to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a group home in the Queens/Long Island area, including Brooklyn.

Compensation: $17–$19 per hour

• Promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
• Ensure all activities are designed to foster growth to each individual's highest level of accomplishment.
• Ensure all care and services are delivered in a climate of normalization, care and concern.
• Assist consumers with daily nutrition and their medications as needed.
• Transport consumers to appointments as needed.

• Valid Driver's License (not required but helpful).
• Ability to complete and pass mandated clearances.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience working with the DDD population.
• Must be comfortable toileting.

• Work with one of the largest referral agencies for behavioral health.
• Compensation processed on a weekly basis.

• CPR
• First Aid
• SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention)
• AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel) not required but helpful.
