The opportunity
Delaware North Sport service is hiring for a Catering Operations Manager to join our team at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. As a Catering Manager, you will partner with the Food and Beverage managers to ensure that all hospitality operations at UBS Arena run efficiently, creating memorable experiences for guests.
PayMinimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $66,300 – $73,700 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range.

- Lead training, scheduling, and supervising of team members from the catering department
- Monitor food and beverage orders, produce daily sales, and accounts receivable reports
- Prepare operational reports and keep records of purchases, requisitions, and liquor logs
- Monitor customer service feedback and develop standards of service that are shared with the catering team
- Assist with menu pricing strategies for optimizing cost and control
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships
- Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in a hospitality environment
- No college degree required
- Knowledge of food preparation, inventory, and cost control measures
- Excellent verbal communication and supervisory skills
- Ability to analyze and make data-driven decisions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with constant bending and other repetitive motions
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, including outdoors in all weather
