In 2021, the New York Islanders moved to our new permanent home, UBS Arena. This state-of-the-art venue, which was built for hockey and made for music, is nestled within the historic Belmont Park – a storied landmark of New York. UBS Arena features best in class facilities and amenities, including premium suites, clubs, and lounges that offer boutique hospitality to elevate the guest experience.

UBS Arena is part of a larger redevelopment project at Belmont Park, which aims to transform the area into a vibrant entertainment destination with the opening of Belmont Park Village in 2024 and the new Belmont Park Racetrack in 2026.

We are hiring a Part-Time, Visual Merchandiser. If you have an eye for design and a passion for creating engaging retail experiences within the sports & entertainment industry, we want to get to know you. The Visual Merchandiser brings our brand to life through compelling displays, signage, and store layouts across the Islanders team store at UBS Arena and the Pro Shop at Northwell Health Ice Center, helping every guest have a memorable shopping experience.

You will report to the Assistant Manager and work closely with the retail team to plan, install, and maintain visual displays that align with brand standards, promotions, and new product launches across both locations.

• Install, and maintain visually compelling merchandise displays, fixtures, and signage at both the UBS Arena team store and the Pro Shop
• Execute seasonal, promotional, and new-product merchandising resets in line with brand and league guidelines
• Ensure consistent visual presentation and brand standards are maintained across both retail locations
• Partner with the Retail team to plan floor sets, window displays, and in-store promotions around home games, events, and key retail dates
• Monitor inventory levels on the sales floor and restock and replenish merchandise to maintain full, organized displays
• Assist with receiving and processing shipments and verify the accuracy of package contents
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor and back-of-house presentation
• Support pricing, tagging, and labeling of new merchandise
• Take photos of completed displays and maintain a visual library for reference and reporting
• Assist retail staff with guest service and sales support on the floor as needed
• Support and collaborate with Marketing, Game Presentation, Partnerships, and other departments on visual initiatives as required

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or experience in visual merchandising, design, or retail a plus
• 1-2 years of experience in retail, visual merchandising, or a related field
• Strong sense of style, color, and spatial design
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and displays at once
• Comfortable using basic tools, such as ladders, hand tools, and fixtures, to build and adjust displays
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and events; must have availability to work 80% of scheduled events…
