Event Security Supervisor| Part-Time | UBS Arena

Position Summary

We are hiring for Event Security Supervisor positions. The Event Security Supervisor reports to the Manager of Security and is primarily responsible for security operations for UBS Arena events. The Supervisor oversees event and venue security and ensures all operational activities and oversight of event security officers are effective and meet efficiency and customer satisfaction requirements.

This role pays an hourly rate of $29.75.

UBS Arena at Belmont Park is made for music and built for hockey. New York's newest premier entertainment and sports venue and home of the New York Islanders was developed in partnership with Oak View Group, the New York Islanders, and Jeff Wilpon. The state‑of‑the‑art arena opened in November 2021 and has welcomed numerous top artists. The venue delivers an unmatched live entertainment experience for guests, including clear sightlines and premier acoustics.

UBS Arena is at the forefront of sustainability, having received LEED Green Building Certification in January 2023 and achieving carbon neutrality for operations in Fall 2022.

• Provide security to public attendees at a ticketed event or an event open to the public and oversee event security officers.
• Work any posted shift as assigned.
• Use provided communication devices, such as two‑way radios.
• Operate detective devices to screen individuals and prevent the passage of prohibited items into UBS Arena.
• Write reports to document incidents involving guests, employees, and unusual occurrences.
• Assist in training and coaching all part‑time security officers.
• Build cross‑functional relationships within the organization and with partners.
• Adapt to shifting priorities, switching gears on a moment’s notice.
• Takes ownership of your work and projects from start to finish with keen attention to detail.
• Bring positive energy and a can‑do attitude to the role everyday.

• Demonstrated ability to function independently in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable working with the public and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Active NYS Security License.
• Effective skills to service guests, clients, and employees.
• Team‑player and self‑motivator.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills focused on solutions.
