As a Security Officer Mall Unarmed Patrol in Elmont, NY
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a retail and mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support guests and tenants with strong communication and customer service while working with an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and/or vendor activity, and assist with enforcing location rules, posted requirements, and other security-related protocols.
• Support opening and closing activities, report maintenance or hazard concerns, and provide visible presence throughout the location to help deter theft, trespassing, and/or disorderly conduct.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
