Manual CNC Machinist

Trillium Professional has a direct hire opportunity for a Manual CNC Machinist in the Chicago area.

The pay rate is up to $40hr.

• -Blueprint & CAD Interpretation:
  Read and analyze complex engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and CAD/CAM files to determine dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences.
• -Machine Setup & Operation:
  Set up, secure, and align work holding devices, attachments, and cutting tools on manual and CNC lathes, milling machines, grinders, or presses.
• -Programming & Adjustments:
  Enter or edit G-code instructions, adjust feed rates, speeds, and depths of cut, and perform tool proofing on initial production runs.
• -Quality Control & Inspection:
  Inspect finished work pieces using precision measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators to ensure strict adherence to specifications.
• -Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
  Diagnose mechanical or programming issues during production, perform minor equipment repairs, and conduct routine machine maintenance.

• -3-5 years’ experience operating CNC Machines in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• -Fanuc Control Experience
• -Be able to create your own set-up
• -Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an advanced understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions.
• -Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication
• -Knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments, to include but not limited to calipers,  & OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales.
• -Knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and inserts used on various machines.
