We are seeking a full‑time, night‑shift Pediatric Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Unit in Shriners Children’s Chicago. The role will provide compassionate, family‑centered care to children across a wide range of specialties, including orthopedic, spinal cord injury, rehabilitation, and cleft lip and palate.
Hours: Full time, 12‑hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, 72 hours bi‑weekly, every other weekend.
Compensation: $35.71–$53.57 per hour, based on experience and departmental equity.
Responsibilities- Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care in a collaborative, family‑centered environment.
- Act as an informal and formal leader, preceptor, and quality‑improvement collaborator.
- Provide opportunities for practice expansion across Orthopedics, Spinal Cord Injury, Rehabilitation, and Cleft Lip & Palate lines of service.
- Support professional nursing practice across all practice settings and the continuum of care.
- Implement the Shriners Children’s Professional Practice Model (FOCUSED) through planning, execution, evaluation, and communication of all phases of nursing care.

Required Qualifications- BSN degree or in process.
- Illinois RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- At least 2 years of acute‑care hospital RN experience.
- Pediatric experience in an orthopedic and/or plastics environment.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
