OpportunityThe Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in product development, creating engineering solutions for new product concepts and developing designs in Solid Works. The role collaborates with Product Development, vendors, and Procurement to meet cost targets.
Specific Responsibilities- Design parts/assemblies using Solid Works for manufacturing processes including injection molding, blow molding, stamping, and tube bending.
- Finalize CAD models, select materials, and produce Bill of Materials for new concepts; work with procurement and vendors to estimate costs and meet targets.
- Communicate with engineers in the U.S. and overseas through email and conference calls.
- Manage multiple products from concept to production, responsible for CAD, engineering requirements, prototypes, schedules, and launch activities.
- Collaborate with industrial designers on brainstorming sessions to create product concepts and solve technical problems.
- Create innovative and patentable mechanisms that meet functional requirements.
- Work with Brand Communications and Product Development to determine product features, sizes, mechanism designs, material selections, and construction methods.
- Build a rapid‑prototyping culture by creating prototype parts using rapid prototyping and traditional model‑making techniques.
- Participate in child‑product testing and consumer research to identify insights that drive product innovation and support the design process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of professional experience designing consumer products.
- Strong project management skills and experience working with overseas vendors.
- Advanced Solid Works or other solid modeling skills.
- Experience designing injection‑molded plastic parts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to recommend innovative product design ideas.
- Effective problem‑solver committed to producing high‑quality, aesthetically pleasing products.

Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $98,000–$120,000. Pay based on responsibilities, skills, experience, education, and market.
