Minimum Required
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required - field of study: social work, public health, gender and sexuality studies, or related field.
At least one (1) year in victim-survivor advocacy, sexual or relationship violence prevention, gender, sexuality, or identity-based center or a related functional area required. Part-time, volunteer, or employment experience with emergency response and advocacy programs for victim-survivors of interpersonal violence is preferred.
Preferred
Education and Experience
Master's degree preferred in higher education, student personnel, social work, public health, gender and sexuality studies, or related field.
Preferred master's degree in higher education, student personnel, social work, public health, counseling, psychology, gender and sexuality studies, or related field and 1-2 years of experience (including graduate assistantships/apprenticeships) is strongly preferred.
Job Duties
* Strategic & Collaborative Leadership
* Create and maintain strategic partnerships that advance victim-survivor services and resources, including with law enforcement, campus disciplinary offices, legal services, health care, and community response agencies.
* Co-lead the Coordinated Community Response team of campus and community stakeholders, with the goals to strengthen victim services collaboration, deepen expertise and training, and promote prevention education among members and campus programs.
* Work closely with community partners such as Cross Roads Sexual Assault Response & Resource Center, Family Abuse Services of Alamance County, and the Family Justice Center of Alamance County to enhance victim advocacy and schedule training education programs.
* Collaborate with campus and community partners, especially local police departments, the Title IX Office, and community victim advocacy agencies, to assess protocol and to design, coordinate and implement annual trainings for law enforcement and members of campus disciplinary boards.
* Consult and advise campus and community partners on strategies and resources that support victim
-survivors.
* Assist the Associate Director of the GLC with the violence prevention, education, and climate plan for the campus in partnership with campus and community partners, including the Title IX Office, the Office for Inclusive Excellence Education and Development, and the Sexual Assault & Gender Issues Council.
* Assist with the maintenance of MOUs with relevant campus and community partners.
* Educational Programs Management
* Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of incoming student education on sexual violence, relationship abuse and stalking awareness and prevention.
* Manage the tracking and follow-up for the mandatory incoming student education program on sexual violence, relationship abuse and stalking.
* Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and mentor grant-funded peer educators through the Coalition for Learning, Empowerment & Anti-Violence Resources (CLEAR) team for sexual violence, relationship…
