The First-Year Experience Librarian will also lead the library's engagement with campus programs that help students thrive, with a focus on transfer, first-generation, and historically underrepresented students. The FYE Librarian will serve as liaison to the Department of English and will work with a collaborative team of librarians that supports the teaching, outreach, and assessment goals of the library. The FYE Librarian will build partnerships across campus, work effectively within a cross-functional librarian model, and explore new ways to support students' intellectual growth, sense of belonging, and engagement with ideas, inquiry, and the university community. Belk Library is evolving its teaching, outreach, and learning work, and this position offers a meaningful opportunity to build on the library's strong foundation and help shape its future direction.
