The Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible for the administration of injury/illness prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program. In this role, they will enforce health care policies and procedures regarding medical insurance, complete physical examinations, and engage in related activities for student-athletes. The Assistant Athletic Trainer follows risk management processes and communicates with parents, coaches, health care professionals, administrators, faculty, staff, and student-athletes.

The Assistant Athletic Trainer provides health care services specifically to designated sports and in general to all student athletes. This position will specifically work with the women's lacrosse program.

Master's degree in Passing the national certification exam and eligibility for state licensure in Athletic Training with minimum of 1-2 years of experience with the following relevant work experience:
At least 3 years of experience in athletic training at the intercollegiate level is strongly preferred. Athletic Training experience in an NCAA Division I level program is preferred. Must be NATA BOC certified and possess or be in the process of acquiring licensure from North Carolina.
