The Receiving Inspector is responsible for receiving and inspecting purchased items and materials at the Elon, NC Facility. Materials delivered to the facility are processed through the receiving and inspection workflow, including unloading, sorting, routing to staging areas, and inspection of components.

• Receiving product into the system and ensuring proper documentation is provided with shipment (part number, PO number, quantity, etc.)
• Identification and routing of materials to designated staging areas (small boxes, freight pallets, awaiting inspection, put away)
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Dimensional inspection of components using inspection tools and gauges
• Ensuring proper documentation is provided with shipments (material traceability reports, certificates of conformity, etc.)
• Transacting approved material and ensuring approved items are identified and staged in the appropriate area to be put away

• High School Graduate
• Strong computer literacy
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with upper level management
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings/blueprints and how to interpret dimensional tolerances
• Knowledge of standard inspection tools and gauges (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, plus gauges, dial indicators, optical comparator, durometer)
