Automotive Maintenance Assistant
Location:
Elon University Campus, Elon Main Campus, North Carolina.
Position Type:
Staff Part-Time (24 hours per week, Monday–Friday).
Responsible for basic and technical tasks to support shop operations and vehicle repairs, including moving vehicles, shop maintenance, ordering parts, answering phones, and assisting the Automotive Services Manager.
Job Duties- Order parts and stock parts in the designated location; input parts into the Automotive Operations System.
- Cleaning: shop maintenance (cleaning floors, removing trash); shop organization (equipment, tools, supplies, parts); maintain a neat workspace.
- Answer phones and forward messages to appropriate personnel.
- Engage in inclusive community building activities to support diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
PreferredEducation and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBasic computer skills, ability to communicate via email, and ability to perform various basic and technical tasks to assist in shop operations and vehicle repairs.
