Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Summary
Assist the mechanic in positioning, aligning, and fitting together construction components to complete the installation of systems and work assigned in a timely and quality fashion.
Responsibilities- Holds, positions, and reads tape to assist in layout.
- Places and moves equipment and materials.
- Positions and turns clamps; screws, bolts, and hammers together; uses tools and equipment properly and only if certified (as required).
- Transports and furnishes the mechanic with materials, tools, and supplies.
- Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment; ensures that tools, equipment, and materials are stored properly and securely.
- Performs other routine duties.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, especially safety rules.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Positive attitude and keeps a good morale on-site
- Know the different types of fittings, pipe sizes, and material types
- Starting to see the needs of the Mechanic and having them ready before being asked
- Ability to inspect tools, cords, and fire extinguishers.
- Has Hand tools to perform the task
- Takes the initiative to start new tasks without direction.
- OSHA 10
- Understanding of the OPS system (Tier zero trackers)
- High school diploma.
- Willingness to learn.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly uses hands and arms for tasks requiring handling, reaching, and coordination, and engages in a combination of standing, walking, sitting, and occasional postural movements such as bending, kneeling, crouching, or balancing. The position involves verbal communication and the ability to hear.
The employee may frequently lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 50 pounds and may occasionally lift or move heavier items up to 100 pounds, with the ability to carry items for extended periods of time as needed.
